I wasn’t sure about booking this place online, so I dropped in and Jonathan showed me around and helped me complete my rental agreement. He was helpful, attentive and committed to customers having a positive experience. I asked him about some of the complaints in reviews I had read and he addressed my concerns without sounding defensive. The place is clean, well lit and feels safe. Very positive experience!

I recently rented a unit at SecureSpace Self Storage Richmond and had an average experience. Billy did an excellent job showing me the unit, addressing my needs, and making me feel welcome. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor really stood out. The location is convenient, and moving my belongings in was easy and hassle-free.

However, there are several drawbacks. The gate access is limited to office hours, which can be inconvenient for people with busy schedules. Additionally, one staff member, who didn’t introduce himself, directed me to park my vehicle next to the fence in a rather abrupt manner. I also had to buy a specialized lock for their units, even though I already had a perfectly good lock from a previous storage unit, which didn’t work on theirs. On top of that, they keep your money even if you only stay for a few days, which feels unfair and not very customer-friendly.

I’ve rented storage units before and had better overall experiences, so I expected more. While Billy’s service was excellent, the limited access hours, lack of professionalism from another staff member, the non-refundable policy, and the requirement to purchase a specialized lock make this a 3-star experience for me.

My first introductory to secure storage was exceptional. Jonathan has excellent managerial and customer service skills. Billy was super friendly, nice and welcoming. I could not help but to smile the whole way through. They were so polite. It just gave you this warm feeling that you were really coming into a situation, that they made my move a little easier. They are really a great team.

Bait and switch operation here. Be prepared for extremely high rent hikes, and often. I regret having to give such a low review. Very clean, nice facility. But they jack up rent like they are high on crack-cocaine or something. Really disappointed. I will be moving out as soon as I can. This is a total flim-flam-scam organization. It's sad 😢. There is no honor here with these people. They are rabid money grabbers.

Super clean facilities and plenty of security. Easy access during their open hours. Jonathan, the on-site manager, was extremely professional and pleasant. Got set up with my unit in probably 20 mins, including a tour of the building. You can't beat their prices, either.

I moved from another storage unit highly known and I have never been serviced like this one I really enjoy coming not only because the facility is clean is because the staff is always willing to help and unswerving any questions. The biggest one is I feel safe when I go in and out and my items I know they are well taken care of.

Jonathan was honest, kind and helpful during our tour. They were so encouraging and supportive, that we decided to rent a unit after our tour. We went to 3 other places to choosing this one due to its costumer service, and cleanliness. This place checked off our list on we wanted: Climate Control and Elevators! 10/10 would recommend anyone looking to rent a storage unit!

This storage unit is perfect for our situation, we don’t necessarily need the climate controlled unit for what we’re storing but it’s definitely one of the many nice features. I’ll be able to live comfortably knowing my stuff is safe and very much secure. If your looking for storage, make this one your first stop and you’ll get the perfect amount of help.
