We have come here over the years while when this area. Our visit last night was wonderful as always. Service was excellent, many enter choices but we both had the lamb loin chops. Ask of the accompanying dishes were excellent too.

We had a very nice lunch there. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and there was so much of it too. Had to take a lot of the main food dishes home.
They had good music on. Seemed like a lot of locals were coming in too as well.

Honestly some of the best food I've had at a restaurant in awhile. The lamb stew was maybe the best lamb I've had in the states, and rivals the best I had in Greece

It was everything my friend Joe made it out to be hearty delicious food and plenty of it. It's the only time I've wished that I could eat more than a small meal since the drug that fixed so many things for me limited how much I could eat in a sitting without paying a harsh penalty later.

Amazing food, it's like stepping back into history or Gramma's kitchen! You pick your main meat from Lamb crops, New York steak, rib eye or, chicken and then they bring you the sides family style. Salad, vegetable soup, beans, Lamb stew, bread and butter, potato salad, and French fries are ALL INCLUDED. And a bottle of red table wine!!!! All included, oh and ice cream at the end of dinner.

It was delicious, now, I am from Bakersfield and raised with Basque restaurants, if you go expecting the same set-up you will be disappointed. It will not be because of the food, every single thing is flavorful, the meats were tender, and the sides and table wine was yummy. The disappointment, if your from Bako, will be your bias to the Bako Basque restaurants and the table set up that includes sides that they do not serve here. I enjoyed it and fell in love with the Lamb stew.

We love this place and have been coming here for special occasions since 1992.

Ownership has since changed but everything feels just the same. You still get a bottle of house red wine on the table for free and enough food to possibly feed an army. This is not an in-and-out meal out. It's an experience. We usually spend a couple of hours when we go.

I like to bring a handful of friends with me when I go, so we can all pick a different entree and share. Everything is served family style, and the number of sides you get is jaw-dropping for first-timers. My favorite sides are the vegetable soup and the beans. The salad is made with a house dressing you cam buy to take home. As far as entrees go, the shrimp is my top pick when available. I also enjoy the prime rib, the pork chops and the New York steak.

Cafeteria atmosphere, long tables. Food was good but not exceptional, although they give you a lot of courses. Bring your appetite because they give you a lot of food. If you expect to take leftovers home bring your own container because they only give you a plastic bag for leftovers.
