I am writing this review for Mountain Moves, regarding 2 moves on the dates of 11/30/24 and 12/14/24.

During the initial move, 11/30/24, I had recently found Mountain Moves through a search on Angie’s List. I was a little skeptical because reviews were mixed, but after speaking with the company and getting a quote that was more reasonable than other moving companies I had contacted, I decided to give this company a try, and I was so happy that I did.

Mountain Moves was very thorough, punctual, and communicative prior to our scheduled move day and time. They contacted us to confirm our move the day prior, and the morning of, they updated us with texts and phone calls to notify us of their expected arrival.

I also want to highlight something that really stood out to me. Joseph, was the lead mover assigned for our job, and I had not properly communicated the size of our move, but Joseph made the effort to accommodate an anticipated 2 hour job, that was extended into a 6 hour job. During this time, Joseph and crew were very attentive to the needs of our move, and they made efforts to ensure the best care for our belongings, especially the fragile items like large televisions, lamps, mirrors and other breakable items. Our apartment was also a unique layout that made it difficult to get our large sofa out of the apartment, but Joseph and crew were still able to find a solution to safely move our sofa out of the apartment without incident.

I was so impressed with Mountain Moves that I decided to hire them for my second move, which was a long distance move. Joseph was generous to take on our large move from the East Bay Area to Central Coast, California and quoted us a reasonable rate.

On 12/14/24 Mountain Moves once again arrived promptly, and communicated their anticipated arrival via text in advance. This job was anticipated to take approximately 12 hours. John (lead mover) and crew exercised great attention to detail, care for our belongings and great communication. Of note, it was a rainy day, and we noticed a defect in the truck, which we later reported to the company. Despite the defect, John and crew made their best effort to protect our belongings and they were able to prevent any major damage or losses. Even after a long day and a large move job, John and crew arrived to the destination and unpacked all of our belongings, furniture and fragile possessions with care.

Overall, I was very pleased with the service provided by Mountain Moves, and I confidently recommend them to anyone who is seeking movers in the areas they serve. Their rates are honest and reasonable, the crew members will handle your belongings with attention to detail and care, and if you have any concerns, those will also be taken into careful consideration until a solution is reached.

Alfredo and Julio made this my easiest move in the last ten years! Fairly priced, my items were packed/unloaded carefully, they were expedient, and overall I felt very confident in the whole process. I moved from San Francisco to Fremont in just 6 billable hours (including truck rental, driving time, and packing/unloading/labor).

I booked the slot Sunday evening and they arrived Monday morning at 10:45am ready to go (earlier than expected which was great, since they finished another job so quickly in the early AM).

I hadn’t finished packing so they brought a ton of extra boxes, furniture passing, and power tools to help me out. It’s 3:45pm and I’m set up in my new room, which is kind of unbelievable.

Super satisfied, they come highly recommended!

Showed up in a timely manner, all moving equipment and truck in good condition. I used three movers due to a very heavy sleeper couch that would need to go down stairs, they did a wonderful job.

No damage to furniture or walls in our new home. Thank you to all the extremely nice and lovely movers!

Very professional and economical!
When Joseph contacted me, he was very courteous and professional. Mountain Moves gave me the best rate for my move. On pick up day, the Mountain Moves agents that came were efficient and careful. On delivery, Alfredo was very professional and took the necessary steps to ensure our belongings were delivered as they were picked up.

I highly recommend Mountain Moves to anyone in need of a moving company.

I had an incredible experience with Mountain Moves. Starting with my first phone call. I spoke with Joseph who listened intently to all that I had to say and then offered up great customer service. He tried to accommodate all of my needs and told me what they could and could not do. One of the best customer service over the phone that I have ever had. I felt listened to if you can believe that.

The experience got even better when Alfredo and John showed up for the move. They were so professional. They asked the right questions and after they got the answer they needed they jumped to work right away. I was amazed at how fast they got everything done. Nice, friendly and courteous was just the beginning. These gentlemen moved mountain without breaking a sweat and were happy to do it.

You know how you watch professional sports because it is a joy to watch people so good at their job? I would totally classify these gentleman as professional. Even if watching movers is not that much fun.

All around great experience from start to finish and the cost was totally reasonable.

This was my second time moving with Mountain Moves. Alfredo and his team did a fantastic job as always. They were efficient and had a positive attitude throughout.

I hope I don’t have to move again soon but if I did, I wouldn’t even shop around for movers, they are just going to be my default choice.

More details: I hired them just for moving. I had everything packed in boxes already and most of my furniture was wrapped in plastic wrap ahead of time. They did help with disassembling and packing the sofa and the TV. They took a lot of care doing this.

I hired Mountain Movers on Wednesday for a move on Friday. My original Wednesday Movers could not open the POD so were delayed in accessing my furniture and were not available the Friday. They arrived promptly and got right to work. They were friendly, efficient and put down floor coverings in my home to protect the floors. A 16 foot POD emptied and some random odds and ends loaded in their truck and moved to storage in just under 3.5 hours. I hate moving, but they made the experience better!

I was calling around for a mover to move a bath tub that was "Curb side delivery only," for my boss. Mountain Movers have the expertise and staff for moving needs. They were able to move the tub in less than 30 minutes and it was 300 lbs. They wrapped it up in stretch film and padding then loaded on a furniture dolly.
This was a logistical obstacle that was critical to going forward with my boss's bathroom repair/remodel.
