Called 1800 pack rat for a move 256 miles

Sharon was my phone operator. Very heavy on the upsell

Container sizes
Selling insurance to cover ur property in transit
Cost per mile. After letting Sharon know that her company of 4 bids was actually the highest in price over 11 dollars per mile for the transportation cost .. she switched gears saying she could get a better rate if I gave the info of my other bids. My answer was I wasn't buying a car from her..she needed to give me her best price.
Shipping container rental 350 for 30 days 16 foot by 8 foot tall by 8 foot wide

When I tried asking questions I couldn't get a word in...the phone operator would not let me finish a sentence without her interrupting

Waste of time. I'm not a person that would call 12 different companies to save a dollar

This company was way over priced from. Other competitors and when I asked questions tge operator made it like how dare I question why her bid was so much higher. After I verified mileage and addresses.

The positive

She was american. I could understand her clearly. Just confused on the heavy upsell of products....the sense of urgency to book with deposit now. Rares are increasing daily.

Just dont ask critical thinker question....like why are ur quotes so high compared to tge other drop ship pick up movers

My husband and I are extremely pleased with Pack Rat Storage Container! They are very competent and really care about our items we are moving! Highly recommend them!

Reggie just delivered our PACK-RAT to our final destination! We had PACK-RAT in Mars, PA, and we just moved to Kill Devil Hills, NC. My husband and I are extremely pleased with the care they gave our precious items that we moved! Everyone was extremely friendly, plus they would give us a time that they would arrive. If there were more than 5 stars, we would give more! We highly recommend PACK-RAT very much! Thank you to the whole staff of PACK-RAT!

As a former driver I DO NOT recommend this company! They will lie to you and they will tell you a driver can perform certain maneuvers or drive in area that drivers are not allowed in order to get the customer to make a purchase. DO NOT believe anything customer service says. Driver are treated poorly as well as any customer who has an issue with how the company operates. They honestly don’t care as long as they get a payment from you.
Trust me, choose PODS or U-HAUL. This is not your best option, it is the cheaper option for a reason.

Refuse to deliver my container to my property which I have provided proof of ownership for.

I own two properties across the street. One has a driveway in front of garages which provides easier access to the front of the house and the second property has an empty 25’x140’ yard/lot that is accessed from the street behind it. We preferred in front of the garages but there was a concern about that space being tall enough because of an overhang so we had the back area as an alternate drop off location told the representative that there were two options for placing the container.

The driver called, told us he wouldn’t be delivering the container because he was too busy to fit it in front of the garages or drive around to the back of the property. He showed up and again insisted that he was too busy and couldn’t deliver the container so he left.
We filed a complaint about the driver and the container was supposed to be redelivered a few days later. We waited until 8:50pm on the delivery day and no one had showed up so we called. We were told that the local storage facility had not assigned it to a delivery route. The rep reviewed the two possible drop off locations and confirmed that at least the back yard/lot area met their requirements and rescheduled the delivery for the following day. The next day we get a call telling us that they will only deliver to the street in front of the house with a permit because we are not the owners of the property (we are the owners). We provided the appropriate documentation to show ownership of both properties and the facility manager still refuses to deliver the container and says that he talked to the county and they say we don’t own the property. The facility manager will not talk with us directly, he won’t provide any contact information or details about where or how he got his information from the county. We have had two different customer service supervisors confirm that the yard/lot area meets their requirements. We think that we are being retaliated against for filing a complaint against the driver and requesting a different driver.

Absolutely the most professional experience I’ve had with a moving company. Seamless process from start to finish. The associate we spoke with gave us a reasonable quote—no hidden charges or anything like that. The moving guys were punctual, and they wasted no time loading our belongings on the vehicle, all while treating them with the utmost care.

Overall I’m very happy with their service. I’d recommend them to anyone.
